This self-propelled anti-aircraft gun is based on the Panzer IV chassis and weighs in at around 22 metric tons. Developed by the Germans in 1944 as a successor to the original Möbelwagen at a time that the Wehrmacht was not very interested in developing an effective self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, as the Luftwaffe had total air superiority. The open top turret housed a quadruple 2 cm Flakvierling 38 L/112.5, and could not be enclosed because of the toxic smoke generated by the guns themselves.
The 1:32 scale Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind by Forces of Valor features outstanding weathering effects, such as battle-damaged fenders and simulated mud. The highly-detailed 20mm four-barreled anti-aircraft gun assembly, complete with articulating gun sight, operator controls and guns that can be elevated and traversed. Diecast metal comprises the upper portion of the model's hull and there is a rotating machine gun and two opening hatches. Battle stations exist for magazine changers. The piece is finished-off with simulated diecast metal welding beads and the whole thing is supported with an active suspension with rolling rubber tracks and wheels.
