Chance Vought F4U-1D 1:18 Daisy June became a night fighter by the addition of a carved and painted Petie 2nd drop tank placed on the starboard wing to represent a radome. The seated Marine pilot is listening to a recounting of the latest dog fight from his squadron mate in the mini diorama. Just a few plumbing rods were inserted into the wing folds while great care was taken to get the straight leg and wing angle right.
